FAQS
All we need is your name, the account number of your existing utility service, and the address of the location you’d like to switch to nTherm. Have your current bill handy.
To find the details of your existing energy account, navigate to your utility company’s website and log in with your username and password (if you haven’t created one yet, you will need to). Then, go to the section that says “Pay My Bill” and click on “View My Bill”. All the necessary information will be shown there. If you’re still not sure, you can always call your utility company and ask.
All you need to do is enroll with nTherm. We’ll handle the rest!
A fixed rate is a rate that remains the same for a certain period of time. For example, you may sign up for a fixed rate of 50 cents per unit of gas or electricity for the next 12 months.
A price cap is similar to a fixed rate in that it will never exceed a certain dollar amount. However, unlike a fixed rate, a price cap allows you to enjoy market rates while they are low. If you sign up for a variable rate while prices are down, and you’re paying 40 cents per therm with a cap of 60 cents per therm, your rate will never exceed your cap of 60 cents per therm – even if the weather gets cold and the price of gas goes up.
Most other suppliers provide either a fixed or variable rate. At nTherm, we offer a variety of pricing options so you can choose what works best for your natural gas or electricity needs.
If you have any questions regarding your natural gas or electric supply charge, call us at (888) 865-3402. For questions about any other charges, contact your utility company using the toll-free number listed on your bill.
Please continue to contact your utility company for any natural gas or electricity emergencies or outages.
Typically, nTherm will start supplying your gas or electricity after the next time your utility company reads your meter.
There are no extra bills. You’ll keep paying your monthly bill the same way you do now, whether online, over the phone, or by mail.
Your utility company will continue to read your meter and maintain the gas/power lines just as they always have.
You bet. As long as you have the account number and service address, you can switch your family’s natural gas or electric company to nTherm.
In most cases, you can still enroll if you’re on budget billing, but it depends on your utility company. Give us a call and we’ll find out for you.
